Choose a memory, not just a nice picture
The best gift photograph is not always the most technically impressive one. A favourite walk, a family gathering or a view from a memorable holiday can mean much more than an anonymous piece of wall art.
Think about the person receiving it. Would they enjoy a quiet landscape, a joyful portrait or something that makes them laugh? The point is the connection, not whether the photograph belongs in an exhibition.
Find the original photo
Use the original photograph from your phone or camera. Avoid screenshots and compressed copies from social media where you can. Check that the main subject looks sharp and that the photograph is not simply a small preview.
ArtFart checks the image at your selected print size. Choose a size that works with the detail available and inspect the crop carefully. Nobody wants a gift with half a head missing.
Think about their wall
Consider their room, available wall space and taste. A modest print can be just right for a desk or a small corner. A larger image needs space to breathe.
Choose between smooth Semi Gloss, smooth matt Ultrasmooth fine art paper and subtly woven Satin Canvas. Prints are supplied without frames and canvas is not stretched, so allow for any finishing you want to arrange.
Leave enough time for the finishing touches
We aim to dispatch within 3–5 business days of ordering. Delivery takes additional time and we currently deliver to mainland UK. Build in time for framing or gift wrapping too.
